Our research covers key areas of international business and finance, including sustainable finance, Islamic finance, fintech, macroprudential policy, poverty alleviation, Zakat, central bank digital currencies, social capital, digital transformation, and game theory. We address contemporary global challenges by developing evolutionary corporate strategy models, advancing sustainability, and evaluating the compatibility of financial systems in a changing global business environment.

Prof. Sam Tlemsani, Director of Research
Prof. Sam Tlemsani is Professor of Finance and Director of Research at TCIB, with more than 25 years of experience across academia, policy, and industry. He has advised the Bank of England, Standard & Poor’s, Bloomberg, PwC, Moody’s, the FSA, UKTI, Qatar Central Bank, Reuters, the UAE Central Bank, the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, and the Malaysian Securities Commission.
Prof. Tlemsani has published more than 200 papers in leading finance journals and has received several awards, including the Best Paper Award from the Irish Academy of Management in 2004 and the Best Researcher Award at Zayed University in 2013. His expertise has also been featured on Bloomberg TV, where he discussed Faith in Finance.
